JUNE - Continuing Pottery Lessons, Thursday

CA$590.00
Sold Out

Continuing Pottery

Thursday Evenings 6pm to 9pm

June 4th to July 30th (no lesson on July 2nd)

There will be a total of 8 lessons. Each lesson is 3 hours long.

Who’s it for?  People who have had some experience with pottery through taking a beginner lesson (at least 5 classes). If you can wedge clay a bit, can center on the wheel sometimes, and make a bowl (but you definitely would like more practice doing these things), well, this class is for you!

We will play around with making different shapes on the wheel, practice throwing larger amounts of clay, and perfect our trimming & glazing skills. Possible projects are: chip'n dip bowl, stacking bowls, lids, carving & stamps, and perfecting our mug shapes.  These lessons are based on your interest and what you want to try to make!

Winter conditions- if the roads are too dangerous because of a snowstorm, the class will be rescheduled.

What you get:

  • 8 “sessions”, 3 hours each

  • The use of the wheels and studio space (work tables).

  • A shelf/cubby to store works in progress

  • Kiln space to fire your 10 pounds of clay.

  • Use of studio glazes

  • 10 pounds of Cone 6 stoneware clay (Tucker’s Mid Smooth Stone)

Additional purchase options:

  • Extra clay and additional space in the kiln.

Get an email when this item is ready to buy. The classes with the most people signed up on the waitlist will be offered this summer!
