Private Group, May 30th

CA$80.00

For a group of Gillian's friends:

2 hours, May 30th, 2pm - 4pm

Location: Wabi Scotia Pottery Studio, 203 Pepperbush court, Middle Sackville.

Amy will walk you through everything about working at the pottery wheel.  You will each get 4 balls of clay to use.  Amy will give you step by step instructions for the first 2 balls of clay, then you have free time to play with the last 2 pieces of clay.

Each person gets to choose one piece (your favorite) to keep and have fired for you (with a clear glaze; the pieces will be a creamy white color).  Pickup will be at a later date, between 1.5 weeks and 4 weeks after the class.  A pickup email will be sent out when ready.

What to bring/wear:  Shorter nails will be easier, hair tied back is best (if it's long).  Wear clothes (and shoes) you don't mind getting dirty - the clay washes out and doesn't stain.

Additional purchase options in the class:

  1. Choose to keep more than 1 piece!  Do you love them all and want to keep everything?  Amy will finish and fire them all for $6 a piece.

2. Colorful Glazes:  Do you want a color other than clear on your piece?  Select a color from the 12 studio glazes; from Turquoise or Creamcicle, to neutrals like Wheat or Iron Ore (Black).  $5 each piece.
